Band copyright 2014 - YIEK Biography YIEK, how does that sounds? Guitar Player Andy got it right to the point during an interview: “We’re making that kind of music, that we just wanted to hear if we go to a club. That kind, which directly makes you order some drinks and puts yourself under the single spotlight in the whole club.” Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocals - the classical rock-setting, well? Yeah, damn right – let’s simply call it Rock. If you take all these different influences of the boys, Rock is just the right definition. The four are sounding like no one else. YIEK – that means sound and full tilt – and this mostly hits you live. Are there any recordings existing? Sure, recently YIEK were recording some of their new Songs within the Cubeaudio Studio in Göttingen. Producer of this session was Mr. Markus Gumball. Markus already worked with bands like Guano Apes or Tamoto. He made it happen, that you can feel the live- energy of YIEK while hearing the recordings. The Mastering took place within the Sterling Sound Studios in New York. The final result puts not only the boys a smile in their face, also everyone whose hearing these songs. Since when does YIEK exist? The four met occasionally at a very hot New Years Eve party. The basement was burning and the whole house was evacuated – this sticks together. In March 2009 Malte, Andy, Aram and Jens took it to the point and founded YIEK. Since then, they were rocking the clubs. Also as a support for bands like Exilia, Psychopunch and Jex Toth on their current tours. What means this strange name, YIEK? Well, it’s a picturesque tribute to the fact that Andy’s broken guitar always was doing these strange feedback sounds. What do the fans say? Lookout for a band, that sounds, like the kind of music that yourself wanted to make  - and appeals like this, what you hits, if you go onto the street while the traffic lights are set red.
